Anime

Anime has a distinct style that originated and is still heavily centered in Japan and can often be recognized by characters with large eyes and distinctive hair styles/colors.

The plots often have lengthy story arcs lasting numerous seasons allowing characters to grow and develop.

You will notice, however, that the anime section also includes animation from other cultures as well. I didn't see a point in splitting it up futher.
